He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J. and Vera E. Baker (Pierson); his son Craig Baker; and his siblings, Eunice Baker, Pierson "Bud" Baker, Bonnabelle "Bonnie" Grate, Lura Vining, Donnadene "Donna" Bonnell, Donald J. Baker, Jr., Jack Baker and Jacqueline "Jackie" Laymon.

He is survived by: his spouses, Betty Jane Allen and Maxine; his sons, Gerald Baker (Karen) of Lawton, Michael Baker of Kalamazoo and Randall Baker of Colon; and his stepchildren, Russell Philbrick (Melissa) of Venice, FL, Phillip Philbrick (Melanie) of Syracuse, NY and Janet Hedden (Heath) of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
