He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Everett Edwards and Stella Edwards (Filipczyk); his wife Patricia Edwards; his children, Joe Edwards (Linda), Steve Edwards and Sondra Pero (Ryan); his grandchildren, Paige (Logan), Kirsten, Britney (Vincent), Trenten (Teasia), Brianna (Ciara), Lyndsie (Brad) and Amy (Cameron); his siblings, David Edwards (Nan), Amy Edwards and Sally Butler; and his granddaughter Brooke Edwards. He was also cherished by many great grandchildren.
