He is survived by: his wife Lucia Melendez Rivera; his children, Winston J. Mercado Melendez (Nydia Velez) of Carolina, Madeline Mercado Voelker (Paul) and Lucia I. Mercado Melendez (Christopher Llamas) of Laurium, Michigan.; his grandchildren, Bianca Mercado-Velez (Tyler), Michael LlamasMercado, Amanda Mercado-Velez (Deuris), Christine Llamas Maldonado, Vincent Llamas Mercado and Steven N. Voelker; and his great grandchild Luna. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
