We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2024, at the age of 86, Lorraine Jean Hirvela of Laurium, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Maki and Esther Maki (Kuusula); her daughter Cheryl Spry; her siblings, Robert Maki (Jim), Edwin Maki, Donna Barry and Deborah Peters; her sons-in-law, Greg Spry and Terry Mytty; her granddaughter Mandy Kela; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Lompre and Ed Sintkowski.
She is survived by: her nephews, Doug Sintkowski and Jarod Lompre; her children, Diane Bykkonen (Bruce) of Calumet, Paula Huls (Tim) of Calumet, Susan Kela (Mark) of Boston Location and Brian Hirvela (Jon) of Laurium; her grandchildren, Joel, Jordan, Jillian, Justin, Jessica, Dylan, Cassandra, Christina, Paula, Ashley, Tracy and Rachel; and her siblings, Karen Sintkowski, Marvin Maki and Marilyn Lompre. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
