James Gherna Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gherna of Laurium, Michigan, born in Calumet, Michigan, who passed away on April 9, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Gherna and Angelina Gherna (Colombo); his wife Edith "Marie" Koskniemi; and his brother Louie Gherna (Edith "Marie"). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Derek (Rachel), Dillon, John (Mariah), Jordan and Katelyn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of expressions of sympathy donations may be sent to the Omega House, 2211 Maureen Lane, Houghton, MI 49931.
