She was predeceased by: her son Kalvin Schlaud; her husband Norman Schlaud; her brother Edward McCartney; and her brother-in-law Joe Riley. She is survived by: her children, Sandy Mitchell (David) of Fruitport, Gerald Schlaud (Peggy) of Attica and Kevin (Dodi) of North Branch; her daughter-in-law Tammy Schlaud of Port Sanilac; her grandchildren, Megan Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, Ryan Mitchell, Samantha Bayer (Eagan), Sam Grutsch (Melissa), Morgan Grutsch, Anne Schlaud, Grace Schlaud, Jacob Schlaud (Megan), Blake Schlaud (Jasmine), Gavin Schlaud (Jordan) and Riley Schlaud; her siblings, Tom McCartney (Janie) of Corunna and Phyllis Riley of Corunna; and her sister-in-law Joyce McCartney of Flushing. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home (1021 S Lapeer Rd, Lapeer, MI 48446). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Dawn Memorial Cemetery (1569 S Elba Rd, Lapeer, MI 48446).
