He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schroeder and Lorna Schroeder (Donner); his granddaughter Serenity; and his sister Joyce. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Schroeder; his daughters, Alexandra "Ally" Schroeder (Michael Nichols) and Abbigale Zylstra (Caleb); and his siblings, Marilyn Garwolds (Bob), Ken Schroeder (Donda) and Martin Schroeder (Beth). He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
