He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burris and Rachel Burris (Ellwood); and his brothers, Ellwood, Jack and Richard.

He is survived by: his wife Margot Burris (Sommerfeldt) of Lapeer; and his children, James Campbell (Denise) of Columbiaville, Matt Burris (Denise) of Humble, Cindy Gertiser (James) of White Hall, MI and John Burris of Rousepoint, NY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Church or WMPC Radio.
