He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Pethers and Louise Pethers (Milligan); his wife Lola Pethers (Collins); and his brother Edward. He is survived by: his sons, George Pethers (Bobbie) of Elba, Jim Pethers (Nancy) of Bonita Springs, FL and William Pethers (Janice) of Clio; his grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer), Steven (Raegan), Kevin, Danelle (Clint), Bethany (Brett), James and Christina (Mike); and his siblings, Mike Pethers and Ruth Avitts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fishers Senior Care and Rehab Center in Mayville.
