He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Surprenant; and his children, Richard of Clarkston, John (DeLynn), Dan (Bonnie), Joan (Ann) of Neebish Island and Greg of Bellaire. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
