He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hubert Stevens and Evelyn Stevens (Chevalier); his children, Wendy Byard (Keith) of Lapeer and Matt Stevens (Tami) of Fenton; his grandchildren, Haley Byard, Kacie Byard (Harrison Watt), Kellee Byard, Brooke Stevens (Brett Wakefield) and Brendan Stevens; his sister Marilyn Meier (Fred); his close friend Joanne Collis; his former wife Cheryl Stevens; and his wife Brigid Stevens. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fenton Adopt-A-Pet or the Genesee County Humane Society.
