She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elaine Hosner and Cameron Hosner; her husband David Downey; her children, Beth Downey and Scott Downey (Ute Wagner); her grandsons, Kyler Downey (Stephanie) and Ethan Downey (Jennifer Hill); her great grandchild Kora Lynn Downey (Cayetano Wagner); and her siblings, Nancy Rice Reeser of Angier, NC and David Rice (Donald Rice) of Englewood, FL. She was also cherished by 10 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.
