He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Black (Greenan); his brothers, David Black and Timothy Black; and his father Rev. T. Donald Black. He is survived by: his children, Leigh Maas (Brandon) of Mt. Morris, Thomas Black (Pam) of Independence, MO, Mary Black of Detroit and Megan Hollis of Lees Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Audrey Fleming, Colin Fleming, Connor Black, Jonah Black, Ariana Black, Dayton Hollis and Lilian Hollis; his brother Don Black of Pittsburgh, PA.; and his significant other Catherine Black (McCargar).

Memorial contributions may be made to The Refuge in Lapeer.
