He was predeceased by: his parents, Winship Braidwood and Margaret Braidwood (Sillers); his former wife Sharon Braidwood (Weber); and his brother Charles (Marie Braidwood). He is survived by: his daughters, Krystal Hawkins (Matt) of Richland, MI and Sonya Abdul (Malik) of Birmingham, MI; his fiancée Janet M. Reinhold of Metamora; his grandchildren, Olivia, Landon, Mikhail and Zara; and his sister Doris Strich (Jerry). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church in Lapeer.
