He is survived by: his wife Alice Johnson; his children, Sherry Johnson (Gerardo), Terry Johnson (Janine), Michael Johnson (Delores) and Lisa Kizziah; his grandchildren, Christopher Niver, Mitchell Johnson (Becca), Thomas Johnson (Nikole), Sandra Forro (Gabe), Rebekah Moorehouse (Chase) and Courtney Bliss; his sisters-in-law, Juanita Johnson, Ladonna Burgess and Lola Farnsworth; and his siblings, Gertrude, Gladys, Buddy, Imagene, Paul, Vernon and Joyce.
