It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Matas of Lapeer, Michigan, born in Mayville, Michigan, who passed away on December 20, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Bean and Mary Bean (Kukes); her husband Wade Matas; her brother Robert Bean; and her nephew Mark Bradshaw.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Matas of Metamora, Linda Matas of Grayling and Janine Matas (Kevin Mclellan) of Lapeer; her granddaughter Chelsea Dennis (Matt); her great grandchild Regan Dennis; her siblings, Lucille Kalar, Marjorie Scott, Shirley Steuwer, Dorothy Rabideaux and Patricia Pickleman; and her nephews, David and Jeff Bradshaw. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contribution be made to the COPD Foundation or the Imlay City VFW.
