He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Pierce and Melba Pierce (Harlington); and his siblings, Steven Pierce and Barb Makowski. He is survived by: his daughters, Theresa Murphy (Jim) of Hadley, Shelly Pierce (Brian Dahl) of Lake Geneva, WI, Julie Shoebottom (Ronald) of Waterford and Kathleen Schuitema (Todd) of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Neil Murphy (Stevie Smith), Shauna Laidler (Matthew), Matthew Pierce, Ronald Shoebottom, Jr., Alexander Shoebottom, Zachary Shoebottom, Bode Schuitema and Cole Schuitema; and his sisters, Patricia Deehr (Jerry) and Ruby LaLonde. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lapeer's Habitat for Humanity.
