Edward Harry Brecht Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Harry Brecht of Lapeer, Michigan, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R. Brecht and Helen Brecht (Werbicky); his sister Judy Simpson; his stepmother Louise Brecht; and his close friend Tom Sweeney.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Brecht; his children, Shelley Hamilton (Ralph) of Register, Georgia, Shawn Brecht (Deanna) of Metamora and Todd Brecht (Shawn) of Lapeer; his grandchildren, Ralphie, Clarke, Eddie, Emily and Blair; and his siblings, Candy Graham (Ron Allen) of Lakeland, Roland Brecht (Cindy) of Harsens Island and Cheri Bohn (David) of Unionville. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and beloved.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home (1021 S Lapeer Rd, Lapeer, MI 48446).
