He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Hammel and Nita Hammel (Saxton); and his brothers, Kevin Hammel and William Hammel. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hammel; his son David Hammel (Jessica); his stepchildren, Theresa Schalau (Tim) and Alan Fuller (Tanya); his grandsons, Jake, Zach, Trevor, Isaac and Andy; and his siblings, Judy Melenbrink (Edward), Art Hammel, Leroy Hammel, Verneta Hammel, Dale Hammel, Karen Chadwick and Shirley Hammel. He is also survived by other loving family members and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Homecare and Hospice, in Earl's memory.
