He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carl Rydell and Beda Carolina (Ryden); his wife Susan Hurley Rydell (Carlisle); and his siblings, Dennis Rydell, Irene Kamunen, Doris Strand and Evelyn Carkeek.
He is survived by: his sister Carla Taylor (Grant) of Louisville, KY; and his children, Michael Rydell (Karen) of Lapeer, Timothy Rydell (Michelle) of Los Gatos, CA and Jennifer Rydell of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
