He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Johnson and Alexandria Johnson; his brother John; his daughter Kimberly Jo; his grandson Tyler; and his close friend Elvis Presley.

He is survived by: his wife Robin; his children, William Jr., Robert, Brian (Belinda), Kandy, Brandy, Tasha (Bob), Mandy and Meredith; his brothers, Sam (Sue), Jim and Tom (Pat); and his sister-in-law Fran. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
