He was predeceased by: his parents, Rush McElroy and Annie McElroy (Currie); and his wife Sally. He is survived by: his children, Ronald McElroy (Sharon) of DeWitt, John McElroy of St. Johns, Bill McElroy (Kathleen) of St. Johns, Kim Swanchara (Ben) of St. Johns and Kelly Ward (Larry) of Minnesota; his siblings, John McElroy (Vickie) and Barbara Sloan; and his sister-in-law Nancy Taylor. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
