She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Van Raalte and Stella Van Der Kolk; her husbands, Arnold Gorden and Albert Merriman; her daughter Paula Perry; her sister Shirley Rapelje; and her niece Karen Short.
She is survived by: her daughter Carla McCarrick (Bill) of Lansing, MI; her grandchildren, Jason Griffith (Erin) of Laingsburg, Kevin Hopkins (Tia) of Eaton Rapids, Carl Hopkins of Lansing, Brent McCarrick (Danielle) of Rockford, April Perry and Bonnie Perry of Lansing; her great grandchildren, Trinity Trine, Bailey Griffith, Emily Griffith, Gavin McCarrick, Kendall McCarrick and Deklin Perry; and her nephews, Dave, Mark, Eugene, Matt and Casey Rapelje.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM. Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the True North Community Church (3200 W Willow St, Lansing, MI 48917). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the East Lawn Memory Gardens (2400 Bennett Rd, Meridian Township, MI 48864).
