She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Askar and Eva Askar; her husband Eugene F. Engelgau; her siblings, George Askar and Jeanette Tanner; her niece Sherry Murray; her nephews, George Askar and DJ Askar; her cousins, Eleanor Eifert and Gordon Widmeyer; and her friend Betty Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Fred Engelgau of Mason and Janice A. Turner of Lansing; her granddaughter Carlene Engelgau of Lansing; and her niece Linda Stoldt.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or the American Cancer Society.
