She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Shinaver Watkins McKenna and DuWayne Watkins; her siblings, Daniel Watkins and Heather Watkins Gilbert; and her niece Lynlee Brie Gilbert.
She is survived by: her stepmother Elena Watkins; her sisters, Mary Hoy, Beverly Nechuta and Elizabeth Watkins; her stepbrother Sergey Ilyashov; her nephews, Adam Gilbert (Melanie), David Rethamel (Karen), Michael Rethamel, Scott Nechuta and Adam Hoy (Sheela); her niece Sarah Schmitz (Nate); her aunt Lyn Zynda; her great-nephews, Nikolas Rethamel, David Rethamel, Jr., Alec, Seamus Hoy, Noah Gilbert and Rowan Schmitz; her great-niece Michaela Rethamel-Zemitis; and also, Aaron Weatherbee and Chance Wallace.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
