He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Wendell and Esther Wendell; and his brother Leon Wendell. He is survived by: his wife Judith; and his brother William Wendell (Neets).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Troy Wendell.
