She is survived by: her husband Curtis Chester; her sons, Devon Chester and Curtis Chester, Jr. of Lansing; her mother Elnora Roland; and her sisters, Mary Alice Roland, Martha Thomas and Mary Walker. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
It was from this foundation that she instilled the importance of an education to her children.
