He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pentoney and Dorene Pentoney (Wood); his wife Carol I. Pentoney (Wild); his grandson Daniel Anderson; his sister Ruth Pentoney; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Pentoney and James Webb.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Christine Melancon (Neil), James Marshall (Sharon), Catherine Ireland and William Anderson (Paula); his siblings, Brace Pentoney (Maxine), James Pentoney (Caryl), Diane Webb, Bonnie Hillmann (Tom) and Ward Pentoney; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. David Wild (Shari) and Barbara Simkins (Nelson). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
