He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jeremiah and Joanne Carol Dwyer (Bauer) of Sidney; and his nephew Joel Gum of Luther. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Dwyer of Lansing; his children, Shelly (Rick Deneau), Jaimie (Bryce Litwiller), Jinny (Paul Carson), Alice (Santiago Lopez), Joseph Martin of Williamston and Michele Martin of Owosso; his grandchildren, Leah, Esther, Ruth, Anna, Ezra, Emma, Abigail, Joseph, Jesse, Wesley, Adelaide, Mariah, Carter, Samuel, Lily, Georgia, Grant, Ryan and Aliana; and his sisters, Carolyn Hutton of Myrtle Beach and Janice Zay of Ludington. He is also survived by his wife, four daughters.
Instead of flowers, contributions in memory of Thomas to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation would be appreciated.
