He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Shay Costigan Sr. and Edith Marie Costigan (Graham); and his wife Teresa McPhillips of Flint, MI. He is survived by: his children, Anne Burke (Bruce), Patrick (Cecelia), Eileen, Christopher (Margaret), Joseph (Judy) and Daniel (Grace); and his brother Mike Costigan (Mary). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to St. Gerard Church, St. Mary Cathedral or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
