He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Mann and Hilda J. Mann. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Mann, J. C. Mann (Michael) and Megan Curtis (Lloyd); his brother Scott Mann (Carol-Anne); his grandchildren, Quinn and Mitchell Curtis; his nephew Robert Mann; and his niece Rachel Schneider (Blake).

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations made in Stephen's name to Capital Area Youth Sports Association (CAYSA). Donations can be sent by check made payable to CAYSA, at 1110 N. Homer Street, Apt. 1, Lansing, MI 48912.
