He was predeceased by: his parents, Aziel Aikin and Doris Aikin (Camburn); his grandparents, Carl, Catherine Camburn, Willis Aikin and Fern Aikin Townsend; and his siblings, Coralee Sorrells and David Aikin.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his daughters, Roxanne Carnegie (Colin) and Christine Aikin (Butch Bannon); his grandson Colin Carnegie; his brothers, Paul Aikin (Nancy), Bruce Aikin (Marivic) and Stephen Aikin (Donna); his sister-in-law Linda; and his cousin Bill Becker. He is also survived by eight nieces, two nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Lansing, who took great care of Russ all the way to the end.
