It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Mason Tyler of Lansing, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 27, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mason Whiting Tyler and Dorothy Marie Tyler; his sisters, Sally Tyler and Alice Durkin; and his nieces, Heather Durkin and Dolores Krabec.

He is survived by: his wife Ella May Tyler; his children, Letisha, Brian Bowman of Portland and Forrest Tyler of Leslie; his grandson Benjamin Bowman (Mackenzie Ketzel) of St. Joseph; and his sisters, Susan (Jim Alsip) and Ruth (Richard Cottrell).

Memorial contributions may be made to the PDK Foundation- researching for a cure to polycystic kidney disease.
