It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Haynes Sr. in Lansing, Michigan, born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Henry Strong; his daughter Melba Canty; his grandsons, Jaden Canty and Corey Canty; and his aunt Pinky Lee Campbell.
He is survived by: his mother Ruby Perkins; his children, Tasha Canty, Shemeika Barney, Janaye Haynes, Talaya Hill, Robert Haynes, Jr., Dontavius Reeves, Jamari Haynes, KeAndre Hayes and Jalen Hayes; his stepdaughter Tyricea Briggs; his grandchildren, Theresa Barney, Amelia Canty, Tahti Haynes, Caden Canty, Bentley Haynes and Isabella Haynes; his sisters, Brenda Robinson and Elizabeth Perkins; his nieces and nephews, Lela Perkins, Shari Perkins, Raphiel White and Christopher Robinson; his cousins, Tangie, Linda, Larnell, Larry, Gill, Dickie and Emanuel; and his close friends, Dorothy, Sheila, Cynthia, Shanquita, Yolanda, Tina and Michondra. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
