He was predeceased by: his mother Ira Cosper (Simcox); his wife Patricia Nesbit Cosper; his stepson Phil Johnson; and his siblings, Duane (Carol), Gene Cosper and Marian McMaster (Erwin).

He is survived by: his children, Steve Cosper (Cathy), Terry Cosper (Maria) and Judy Hadley; his stepdaughters, Pamela Stark (Jimmy) and Peggy Hoff (Crosby); his nephews, Dan McMaster (Susan) and Tim Cosper (Jane); his grandchildren, Eva Sharpe, Maceo Cosper, Stephanie Holland, Josh Hadley, James Hadley, Zachary Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Bryan Stark (Hollie), Blake Stark (Haley), Nichole Price (Chris) and Christopher Cosper; his great grandchildren, Jordan Holland, Chris Price Jr., Remy Price, Memphis Price, Eloisa, Margo Sharpe, Rosiana, Tessa, Grace Cosper, Serena, Lana, Ava Hadley, Tommy, Taisley and Tristine Hadley; and his stepdaughter-in-law Michelle Johnson.

Recently he was an active volunteer for RSVP and the Guadalupe Family Circle.

Memorials may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church, where Al was a proud member of the Lansing Assembly #3334 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and the St. Therese Council #10907 Knights of Columbus.
