He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Halik and Marian Halik (Sprik); his wife Nancy Halik (Payne); his brother-in-law James Payne (Judy); his close friend Emily Simon; his daughters, Sarah Donovan (Robert) of Great Falls, Virginia, Kelly Veenstra (Jasen) of Cypress and Molly Motz (Steven) of Lansing; his grandsons, Trey Donovan, Jackson Veenstra and Miles Motz; his brothers, James Halik (Connie) and William Halik (Cheryl); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Buchanan and Lorraine Payne. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews; and other extended family.
