He was predeceased by: his wife Miriam. He is survived by: his children, Stephen Richard Beifuss and Nicole Beifuss (Lee Byerlay); his grandson Emrys Beifuss-Byerlay; his brother Ervin Jurke (Heather); his children, Virginia (Eddie) and Darren Meister (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Matthew and Andrea; and his aunt Alice.

Any thoughtful donations may be directed towards TOH Cardiac Institute and the Ottawa Humane Society.
