She was predeceased by: her mother Ruth "Diane" Highfill; and her brother William "Jay" Highfill. She is survived by: her son Wiiliam David Roper; her brother Eric Highfill (Karen); her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Alyshia and Eric Highfill II; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Alania, Alec and A'Myah; and her aunt Vicki Hunter.
