Ray Velasquez Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Velasquez of Lansing, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 69. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ray Velasquez to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Savas Velasquez and Alicia Velasquez (Montemayor); his father-in-law Steve Castillo; his siblings, Elia Diaz, Robert and Mario; and his in-laws, Tony Garcia and Frances Castillo.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Castillo; his children, Alicia Velasquez (Ken Day) and Xavier Velasquez; his siblings, Mary Garcia, Frank (Mary), Ernie, Ramiro, Rudy (Gretchen), Rosa Rivera (Ralph), Louie (Nora) and Joe (Beatriz); his mother-in-law Eleanor Castillo; and his siblings-in-law, Yolanda Gutierrez, Grace Gonzalez, Anthony Castillo and Linda Sevilla.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Delta Chapel (6301 W St Joseph St, Lansing, MI 48917). A rosary was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (2520 W Willow Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917).
