She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Burns and Bessie Burns; and her siblings, Donna Jean Burns, Dawn Guenther, Rebecca Goerge and George Burns.

She is survived by: her husband Arnold Hale; and her friend Shannon Hale. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Penny Hale.
