He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jessie Williams, Henry Giles, Willie Giles and Nathaniel Giles. He is survived by: his wife Patrice Giles; his daughters, Tanuel McElrath, Leedon Kelley and Mary Giles; and his siblings, Mary Beaver, James Giles and Augusta Giles (Barbara). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
