The memory of Norma Jean Phelps of Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Norma Jean farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Norma Jean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her son Bruce Phelps; and her brother Jimmy Teller. She is survived by: her son Todd Phelps (Jayne); her daughter-in-law Susan Phelps; and her granddaughters, Kristie Recker (Ryan), Heather Phelps and Amy Bertram (Adam). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes (205 E Washington St, DeWitt, MI 48820). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
