He was predeceased by: his wife Leteshia; his son Bruce (Kathi); and his granddaughter Meghan Tanner. He is survived by: his children, Doug Tanner (LouAnn), Terry Tanner (Dana), Janice Mullins (Tim) and Brian Tanner (Julia); his grandchildren, Chad (Carrie), Jeremiah (Abby), Melanie (Brian), Justin, Elizabeth (Adam), Monica (Claudia), Zac (Annalisa), Olivia (Austin) and Ramon; and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Hazel, Tanner, Ryker, Mason, Flora and Helene.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Lansing-Stoneleigh Residence.
