It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michelina DeRose of Lansing, Michigan, born in Leslie, Michigan, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amelia DeRose (Scarcello) and John DeRose; her brothers, Michael DeRose and Victor DeRose; and her siblings-in-law, Dolores DeRose and Lyndon Sanford.
She is survived by: her sisters, Marie Sanford and Patricia Lewis (Glen); and her nieces and nephews, Susan Wilcox (Dave), Nancy Baran, Mary Elizabeth Trosko, Julie Sanford, Anne Brigham (Tom), Amy Kowalk (Ken), David DeRose, John DeRose, Steve DeRose, Michael Sanford, Kevin Sanford (Debbie) and Thomas Wheeler (Korey). She is also survived by 22 great nieces and nephews; and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michelina's name can be made to St. Gerard Church or the charity of your choice.
