He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Stanley Pointer; and his grandparents, Stanley, Ethel Pointer, William and Addie Harris.
He is survived by: his mother Gertrude Pointer; his brothers, Lawrence Pointer (Faye), William Pointer and Brian Pointer; his nieces, Keisha Proctor (John) and Naomi Pointer; his great-niece Samarra Lenece Pointer; his nephews, Marcus Pointer and Wesley Pointer; his cousin Kevin "Kevy" Humphrey; and his close friends, Jimmie Boles, Kenneth Hinton and Ronald Flowers.
