Mary Louise Maier Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Louise Maier (Lansing, Michigan), born in Jackson, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2024 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Harkins and Mary Harkins (McManus); her husband Ralph Maier; and her siblings, Mitchell Harkins (Mary) and Msgr.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Lee MacFarlane (Don), Ralph "Eddie" Maier (Susie), Kathleen Myers, Shirley Robinson (Steve), Joe Maier (Robbi) and Frances Pachota (Ed); her grandchildren, Kevin MacFarlane (Shannon), Charlie Maier (Kelcy), Max Maier (Kathleen), Rachel Nys, Diana Almanza (Joe), Carol Robinson, Alex Robinson (Anna), Christy Burghardt (Kevin), Mary Williams (John) and David Pachota; her great grandchildren, Chloe, Henley, Raegan, Winsley, Jonathan, Marin, James, Victoria and Eleanor; her sister Eileen Weisenberger; and her sister-in-law Rosemary Harkins. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Delta Chapel (6301 W St Joseph St, Lansing, MI 48917). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Gerard Catholic Church (4437 W Willow Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917).
In lieu of flowers, please have a Mass for the Repose of her Soul said in Mary's name.
