He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Lowe; his uncle Peter Brooks of Detroit, Michigan; his aunts, Joan Brooks, Geneva Brooks of Lansing, Carol Brooks and Gracie Brooks of Detroit, Michigan; his brother Derwin Lowe (Sayuki); and his grandparents, Jim, Millie Brooks, Lonnie and Lula Lowe.

He is survived by: his mother Geraldine Lowe; his brother Joseph Darnell Lowe (Mumbi); his stepbrother Bernard Urhart of Chicago, Illinois; and his nieces, Alisa Pickron (Omar), Karen Lowe, Marie Lowe and Isatu Thande. He is also survived by the youngest of three brothers and one stepbrother.
