It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marla Elizabeth Conwell (Lansing, Michigan), born in Highland Park, Michigan, who passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Conwell and Ora Conwell (Hawkins); her brother Irving Conwell Jr.; her aunt Elizabeth Singleton (Alfred); and her cousins, Patricia Smith and Camilla Singleton-Dodd.
She is survived by: her son Marlin Alexander Conwell (Helena); her significant other Gregory Folks; her close friend Gregory Folks; her grandchildren, Amiyah Joyce Conwell and Isaiah Roland Conwell; her brother Frank Conwell; and her nieces and nephews, Irving III, Devin Conwell, Ashley, Bianca, Brittany and Blair Conwell. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close family and friends.
