He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his children, Kathy Pohl (Dennis), Kelly Shrauger (Mike), Steve Counseller and Angela Jones; and his sister Susan Fenn. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice in memory of Lawrence Counseller.
