He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Carl and Anna Belle Leonard (Wallace); and his sisters, Carrole and Glenda. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Leonard; his children, Teresa Leonard, Greg Leonard (Jamy) and Jeanne Jonas; his grandchildren, Chase Knapp, Ian Mosher (Amber) and Madisyn Jonas (Jacob Rawza); his great grandchildren, Jack Mosher and Brynn Mosher; and his sister Shirley Peterson.
